On behalf of the Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles, Nigeria Province I joyfully welcome you to our website. Our aim as Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles is “to love God and to make Him known and loved.” There is a saying that “apt words have power to swage the tumours of troubled mind, and are as balm to festered wounds.” We hope that your visit to our website will be a Spirit filled experience and that through it you will encounter apt images and words that will be balm to you and fill you with God’s love and urge you to make God known and loved.
Our Venerable founder Fr Augustine Planque, SMA called for unity in our work of evangelization, “the more united we are, the better we shall do God’s work. May a family spirit of union and harmony reign among you.” As you visit this website you are united with us as family in our work of evangelization, may you experience the spirit of union and harmony. It is also our sincere prayer that you will be continually gifted with wisdom so that you can always see God at work in your life and in the world.

A deeply religious woman, she taught him how to meditate daily on the Our Father - a prayer which remained his favourite for the rest of his life.

The young Augustin was very religious and from an early age considered becoming a priest. It was no surprise for his family when he went to the Minor seminary at Cambrai...
