FINAL PROFESSION OF RELIGIOUS VOWS.

We thank God for the successful celebration of perpetual profession of our nine sisters on Monday 8th December, 2014 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Airport Road Benin City. The ceremony was well attended by OLA Sisters from all our communities in Nigeria, family members of our nine sisters, Friends of OLA (FOLA) from around Nigeria, Priest and Religious and all who associate themselves with the OLA Sisters. We are grateful to the Chief Celebrant of the Eucharistic Celebration, His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Augustine Akubeze, Archbishop of Benin, and to all who worked hard to make the celebration a huge success. We also thanked all those who attended the celebration as well as all those who could not come but supported us with their prayers and kind gestures. May the good Lord reward you all.

Finally, we say congratulations to Sr. Christabel Mashuka, Sr. Lauretta Obonyilo, Sr. Blessing Umeloh, Sr. Helen Nwoko, Sr. Mary Ede, Sr. Faith Ogbeide, Sr. Anthonia Patrick-Nwaocha, Sr. Mary Ukoete and Sr. Theresa Ezewelukwa. They are now permanent members of our Congregation.

Founded in 1876 by Fr. Augustine Planque SMA, the mission of the O.L.A. Sisters is to continue the work of evangelization which the Apostles received from the Lord. With the zeal for mission, O.L.A. Sisters arrived Nigeria in the year 1878 thus, becoming the first group of women Religious in Nigeria.
